چکیده

Photocatalysis is a promising technology for the degradation of recalcitrant organic pollutants in water. In this study, superparamagnetic zinc ferrite nanoparticles (ZnFe2O4) were synthesized and characterized using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The (NPs) ZnFe2O4 observed to have photosensitive nature showed characteristic visible-light-induced activation that was used photocatalytic textile dye, Remazol brilliant violet 5R (RBV-5R). effect different operational parameters such as pH, H2O2, catalyst dosage, concentration RBV-5R reusability well scavengers investigated under visible irradiation. almost complete (99.9%) at pH 10, 0.1 g 6 mM H2O2 30 min. followed pseudo-first-order kinetics. mineralization calculated from total carbon (TOC) represented by 82% TOC removal results revealed photocatalysis may be elimination toxic dyes, RBV-5R, water resources.

An efficient dye-sensitized BiOCl photocatalyst for air and water purification under visible light irradiation.

A photosensitized BiOCl catalyst was found to be effective for photocatalytic water purification and air remediation under visible light irradiation (λ > 420 nm). Prepared by a solvothermal method, the BiOCl crystals possessed a 3D hierarchical spherical structure with the highly active facets exposed. When sensitized by Rhodamine B (RhB), the photocatalyst system was more active than N-doped T...
